Bimini, Bahamas

A visitor guide to the Bimini islands: how to get there from Florida, what the weather and the sea are doing, and what there is to see when you arrive.

Bimini is the westernmost district of The Bahamas, about 50 miles east of Miami across the Gulf Stream. North Bimini has Alice Town, Bailey Town and Bimini Bay, where the resort and the ferry landing are; South Bimini has the airport; Cat Cay and Gun Cay lie to the south. Bimini, Bimini Island and the Bimini Islands are three names for the same place.

BiminiIslands.com is a privately owned visitor guide, run by Digified Media. Each trip question gets a page of its own, from the ferry crossing to a cruise passenger's day in port. Where a fact changes often, such as a fare, a sailing time or an opening hour, the page names who sets it and links to where they publish it.

Weather, tide and storm data appears as issued, with its source beside it and its issue time where the source states one. The official forecast from the Bahamas Department of Meteorology and the National Hurricane Center is linked next to each block.
