Please note: BiminiIslands.com is a privately owned visitor information site. It is not affiliated with the Government of The Bahamas, the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Resorts World Bimini, or any ferry operator, airline, cruise line or marina, and it is not a NOAA or National Weather Service product.
A guide to plan with
The site is general information about Bimini: how to get there, what the weather and the sea are doing, and what there is to see. We check what we publish against primary sources, and for anything that changes we link to the organization that sets it. Baleària Caribbean publishes the ferry's sailing days and fares, Bahamas Customs sets the permit fees, and the Bahamas Department of Meteorology issues the official forecast, so those figures stay on their pages and ours point to them.
Sailing days, fares, flight schedules, permit fees, opening hours, tides and the weather can still change without notice, and a page here can be behind. Operators come and go. Before you rely on something for travel, money or safety, confirm it with whoever sets it. Every page links to them.
Weather, tides and storms
The marine and hurricane pages show data from NOAA and the National Hurricane Center. Each block names its source, and its issue time where the source states one, and links the official forecasts from the Bahamas Department of Meteorology and the National Hurricane Center beside it.
The site gives no advice on whether to make a crossing, and it restates no watch or warning. The decision to go to sea, and the responsibility for it, rest with you and your captain, on the official forecast and your own judgment.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We make no promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors, or that the site will always be available. As far as the law allows, Digified Media is not liable for loss or damage that comes from using the site or from relying on what it says, whether that is a missed sailing, a fee that has changed or a plan made on a page that was behind.
Links to other sites
We link to sites we don't run, among them the ferry operator, the airlines, the resort, Bahamas Customs and NOAA. We aren't responsible for what they publish or for how they handle your information.
Advertising and affiliate links
The site carries advertising, served by Google. Some links are affiliate links: if you buy or book through one, the site may earn a commission, and what you pay stays the same. Those links are marked on the page that carries them, and nothing on a page is written to earn one.
Using what's here
The text and design of the site belong to Digified Media. Link to any page you like, and quote a short passage with credit to BiminiIslands.com. Ask before you republish a whole page or copy the site in bulk.
Data from an open source stays under that source's license, and the data sources page lists each source with the credit it asks for. The data is theirs; the way it's presented here is ours.
Names such as Baleària Caribbean, Resorts World Bimini, NOAA and the National Weather Service belong to their owners. We use them only to say who and what we're writing about.
Acceptable use
Use the site in a way that leaves it working for everyone else. That means no attempts to break or overload it, and no false or abusive messages.
Privacy
The privacy policy says what the site collects when you visit or write to us, and how to have it removed.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date under this text shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the new version.
